Storm forces Monday's action to be postponed
Mother Nature continues to dominate the spring sport season. Once again on Monday, all games were postponed due to unplayable weather conditions - Sunday's extensive and heavy rain led to quick decisions on all scheduled events.
Tops on that docket was the CCHS boys lacrosse Cedar Run quarterfinal game at Fauquier. The seventh-seeded Blue Devils learned they would play No. 2 FHS when the Falcons dropped Saturday's championship tie-breaker final to Loudoun Valley, making Valley the regular season Cedar Run champ. Valley also had to beat Osbourn Park as part of the three-team tie.
The Devils' JV and varsity boys soccer teams were slated to host Loudoun Valley tonight, with the Devilettes' soccer squad traveling to Valley. All of those games are now penciled in for Wednesday.
