Fauquier offense too much for CCHS

The Culpeper girls lacrosse team dropped an 18-11 decision to Fauquier at Comet Field on Monday night.

Fauquier scored six of the game's first seven goals, held an 11-7 halftime edge and waltzed away with the victory.

"When we play good teams, we play up to their level and stay with them. When we play teams that we think we can beat, we play to their level," CCHS freshman Scarlett Corbin said.

Morgan Martin and Taryn Bierhuizen combined for 10 of Culpeper's 11 goals, each netting five. Kelsey Larson pitched in the other Devilettes' tally.
