Hutchins has experience school board needs

In the forthcoming school board elections I want to strongly recommend Elizabeth Hutchins to the Stevensburg voters.

Elizabeth, a retired schoolteacher, has served on the Culpeper School Board for sixteen years and her record stands as an example to all who wish to serve our community. Her support and consequent votes for improvement of our Culpeper schools are a clear indication of her ability to navigate the difficult maze of regulation and mandates that surround our public school system.

The building of EVHS and the excellent renovation of CCHS are examples of the structural change she has championed. Her support of the Governor’s school, vocational training and the arts show the breadth of her vision to ensure that all our children, regardless of their talents, get an opportunity to receive the education they need and deserve.

We need School Board members who are not afraid to support difficult and unpopular change measures and to do the hard work which will bring them to fruition. If we want real change in our public school system we need experienced, tested advocates on our school board. Elizabeth Hutchins is just such a person and should be re elected in November.
