Maggie Gill, CEO, Novant Health UVA Health System, and Charles Barrell, board chairman, Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center, today announced the selection of Jeff Hetmanski as president of Novant Health UVA Health System Culpeper Medical Center, effective Oct. 2.
Hetmanski joins Culpeper Medical Center from the University of Virginia Health System, where he served as director of finance and community operations. He also previously served as chief financial officer at Culpeper Medical Center from 2014 to 2016 and was responsible for all financial areas of the hospital. Hetmanski replaces Greg Napps, former president of Culpeper Medical Center, who begins his new role as president of Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center and Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center on Oct. 2.
“Jeff’s tenure at Culpeper Medical Center combined with his experience at UVA make him an excellent fit,” said Barrell. “The board and leadership team at Culpeper Medical Center are excited about his appointment and trust that there will be leadership continuity as Jeff begins serving in this role.”
Hetmanski earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a Master of Health Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. He is also six sigma black belt certified.
As president, Hetmanski will also partner with Novant Health leaders to leverage resources and expertise. “We remain committed to providing a network of high quality, affordable healthcare and are confident that Jeff will help us to deliver the most remarkable patient experiences at Culpeper Medical Center and across our system, in every dimension, every time,” said Gill.
