A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new T-Hangars at the Culpeper Regional Airport was held on Saturday morning.
A brief ceremony was held inside of the CAF Hanger where Tanya Woodward,
airport manager, John Egertson, county administrator, Alexa Fritz, chairwoman of the board of supervisors, and former county administrator and longtime
airport advocate Frank Bossio spoke.
Bossio’s message on the success of the airport included a moment
of silence for the late JJ Quinn who was a driving force in building up the Culpeper Airport to what it is today. A total of three buildings were added, with two buildings having 10 T-door hangars and the third having six “executive” hangars.
The hangars will help alleviate a waiting list of about 50 airplanes.
