Car Wash Event
Local businessmen Steve Corbin and Tom Boyd are great supporters of this country’s military. This year their annual Memorial Day Car Wash will once again offer the Ultimate Wash for just $8 for all active military service members. As an added expression of gratitude to fellow citizens who serve unselfishly in rolls that contribute to this country being a free and safe place, they are extending this special to all law enforcement personnel both uniformed and in support roles, all fire and rescue personnel and all emergency services personnel (EMT’s and support).
An attendant will be at the Culpeper Car Wash at 618 Sperryville Pike from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. or later if required. Rainout date is Tuesday, May 31.
Please be prepared to identify yourself to attendant.
Be prepared with cash. Credit cards cannot be processed at this event.
“We look forward to providing this benefit and express our sincere appreciation to all,” said owners Steve Corbin and Tom Boyd.
White House Band
If you heard them during the holidays, you won’t want to miss them.
The White House Band is a group of some of the finest musicians in the world who at some point in their careers played at The White House with our nation’s Washington-based military bands, and they’re coming to the State Theatre for a Memorial Day Concert to honor our fallen soldiers. Special performance starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20/adults, $10/youth.

To celebrate Memorial Day, Old House Vineyards will have wine tastings, spirit tastings in the distillery and catch/release fishing at the pond. Pizzas will be served from noon – 4 p.m. (or until sold out). Live music from 1-4 p.m.

Beginning June 1, Colonial Williamsburg’s Honoring Service to America program expands year-round to offer a complimentary Single-day admission ticket for active-duty military, reserve and National Guard personnel and up to three direct dependents, while each year retirees and veterans qualify for 50 percent off a Single-day ticket or Annual Passes for up to five direct dependents.
The promotion is part of a Foundation initiative to further honor military service and follows the official May 26 opening of Liberty Lounge, a new complimentary space where ticketed Colonial Williamsburg military guests can relax and recharge in the Revolutionary City.
The Honoring Service to America program will continue to offer free Colonial Williamsburg admission to all military personnel and their dependents during the Memorial Day and Veterans Day weekends, supported since 2015 by a $100,000 grant from the Home Depot Foundation.
Eligible guests may take advantage of these offers onsite at ticket locations including the Colonial Williamsburg Regional Visitor Center and the Lumber House and Merchants Square ticket offices.
