Chamber of Commerce announces Stohlman’s Retirement

The Culpeper Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors wishes to announce that Debbie Stohlman, President/CEO, will be retiring effective August 31, 2016. Ms. Stohlman has been with the organization since August 2009 when she began her career as Operations Manager. She was promoted to her current position in August 2014.

“Debbie is a well-respected leader in Culpeper’s business community.  She is a champion for our business members specifically and the business community at large. She has created invaluable connections to education and government in the region. We are very sorry to see Debbie leave and wish her all the best in retirement. We have certainly benefited from her vision and leadership,” said Ken Greenfield, 2016 Board Chairman.

During her tenure, Stohlman worked to re-vamp the organization’s premier event, CulpeperFest and worked to strengthen community partnerships to help facilitate a quality of life conducive to economic development.

“It has been a privilege to serve the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce and our community in this capacity. While I look forward to this new chapter of my life, I will miss the daily opportunities to make connections for our members and partners,” said Stohlman.

The executive committee of the board of directors will assemble a search committee to find her replacement.
