SAVING STITCHES. Members of the Culpeper Quilting Guild held a quilt raffle to benefit the Friends of the Culpeper County Library and the Culpeper Food Closet. One lap and one queen size quilt were donated and pictured here are the winners and recipients (l-r) Barbara and Dick Rosica (Food Closet), Nancy & Michael Brooks, Bonnie Sharpe (President of Culpeper Quilting Guild) Carmi McCarthy, and Susan Keller, Director of the Culpeper County Library.

SERENE SUNSET. Mary Davidson caught the brilliance and tranquility of nature’s last rays of light on Good Friday. She was at the entrance of Dairy Queen looking west and we’re glad she was.

SNEAK PEEK. Allen Martin didn’t miss this photo opportunity. Even in the bike’s rear-view mirror the spring colors look great!

LOOKING FOR LUNCH. Local photographer Allen Martin often looks no further than his backyard for inspiration. This woodpecker prefers a feeder to a fir tree.

ACT LIKE A HERO. At a recent theatre workshop held at the State Theatre, instructor Andrea Wilcockson helps Luke Freitas personify the hero archetype in how he speaks, acts and presents himself.
