Culpeper County Sheriffâ??s Office is investigating a series of thefts that took place this week. The first incident occurred in the overnight hours of Wednesday, January 27, 2016 into Thursday, January, 28, 2016. A string of larcenies took place on the 14000 block of Woodland Church Road. It was reported that a rash of unlocked vehicles, all trucks, were ransacked and various items were stolen
Subsequent to that incident, another theft took place on Thursday, January 28, 2016 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. An orange, 16-foot dual axle trailer was discovered missing from the yard on the 1600 block of Glen Ella Road. There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Culpeper County dispatch at 540-727-7900.

ï?· Lock your doors and windows.
ï?· Turn a light on when you leave, or attach timers to a couple and set them to alternate on and off.
ï?· Install motion-activated exterior lights.
ï?· Install an alarm.

ï?· Report suspicious events, persons, and vehicles.
ï?· Photograph your valuables, and document makes, models, and serial numbers.
If your property is stolen, this makes identification easier.
