On May 25, 2015, 12 separate locations in the Redwood Lakes, Pelham Reach, and Lakeview subdivision areas, residents reported numerous vandalisms. Sometime late on Sunday night, May 24, or early Monday morning May 25, vandals struck locations in these subdivisions resulting in extensive property damage.
Early on the morning of Monday May 25, 2015 officers from the Culpeper Police Department responded to 12 separate incidents of vandalism in the subdivisions on and adjacent to Virginia Avenue and Blossom Tree Road.
The officers took reports and collected evidence of vandalisms to numerous vehicles. The damage included broken vehicle window glass and scratches in several vehiclesâ?? paint. Damage is believed to be in the area of several thousands of dollars.
Today, Tuesday, May 26, detectives from the Culpeper Police Department continued the investigation in the area conducting interviews and seeking additional evidence. Currently, detectives are following up on all leads.
The Culpeper Police Department is seeking anyone who may have additional information about this incident to contact the investigating detective or contact Crime Solvers, for those wishing to remain anonymous. If you were out during this time frame and observed any suspicious activity or groups of individuals in the areas mentioned, you are asked to contact The Culpeper Police Department. The Culpeper Police Department is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the party or parties who committed these acts.
