Culpeper Regional Hopspital Family Birth Center receives generous bereavement donation

The Family Birth Center at Culpeper Regional Hospital (CRH) has received an amazing and generous collection of gifts from a family who makes bereavement donations in memory of their 22 year-old son. The items will be used to support families experiencing a loss due to a miscarriage or stillbirth.

Memory boxes, sibling memory boxes full of craft items, journals and pens, a Cannon camera with memory disk, printer and paper, crotched blankets and clothing, sterling baby rings, books on grieving for mothers, fathers, and siblings, and broken heart pins are some of the gifts donated by the family. And the list goes on.

The gifts were donated through the LLOST Foundation (Loss of Loved Ones to Sudden Tragedy), which is a nonprofit organization created to provide support across the Commonwealth of Virginia to those living with the loss of a loved one (http://www.llost.org).

Director of the Family Birth Center, Becky Bradshaw says, “The mission of the Family Birth Center is to ‘create cherished memories’ even in times of loss. This very generous gift will enable us to do this for our patients and their families.”
