Marjorie Padrick Brown, age 97, of Amissville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 27, 2013 at Fauquier Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 18, 1915 to the late George and Lucille Padrick of Pierson, Georgia.
Marjorie was a loving and devoted wife, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed china painting, reading, listening to gospel music, and in her earlier years, extensive RV traveling throughout the United States with her husband. She lived most of her adult life in Florida, spending the last 25 years in New Port Richey, Florida before moving to Amissville, Virginia in late 2011 to live with family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 44 years, William E. Brown, and 2 sisters, Juanita Grayson and Frances Brown.
Her survivors include her sons, William E. Brown, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Amissville, Virginia, and Charles E. Brown and his wife, Rebecca, of Huntsville, Alabama, and a sister, Myra Coltrain, of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren include Nancy Marsh of Alpharetta, Georgia, Aaron Brown and his wife, Kristine, of Muskegon, Michigan, Luke Brown and his wife, Erin, of Mitchells, Virginia, William Brown and his wife, Sara, of Jacksonville, Florida, Rachel and Robyn Ciliax of Huntsville, Alabama, and five great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at Amissville United Methodist Church, 14760 Lee Hwy., Amissville, Virginia 20106, on Thursday, May 2nd, at 11am. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Amissville UMC.
